blog #63059-recording progress/bonus song

Aloha and happy newyear, internet-buddies!

hope you guys had a blast eating stuffed turkeys and trying to finally get rid of that fucking liver.

I was planning for the first new blog of 2009 to contain good news in the form of new songs, studio-pictures, videos and all kinds of startling gossip.

Since we have only just started recording (actually, yesterday was the first night in a series of 2 nights of drumrecording) there’s not much to tell. (promises of monthly blogs hunt me in my dreams)
So far, the drums sound nice. four songs down, one to go. nothing special really, unlike the promise of earthquake-sounding proportions i did earlier. (it really doesnt sound too bad, lots of ambience in the drumsound, pretty neat)
anyways, we’ll do our second session next wednesday. and then its on to bassguitar and electric guitar. we might do some organ but strikingly, none of these songs contain organ as of yet. also, they are not totally finished yet, so it’s kind of a surprise to us as well, pressing record and hoping for some kind of a song:)

we’ve decided there are going to be 3 songs (they’re all under 2 minutes!!)and an intermezzo on our side of the Split-EP.
Lost bear has recorded their stuff and are probably mixing it now. there’s some cool video’s on their myspace so you might wanna check that out.

there is also going to be a bonustrack on our myspace-page, it’s one of our oldest songs and is aptly named ‘stone age’. this is not gonna be on the split.
you’ll have to pay extra for it, and send in nudie-pics to obtain the track.

so to sum it up (and to fill some more space for this patheticly tiny blog to look interesting)
-one more week on drums and bass
-one more week on guitar/organs
-one week on vocals
-probably a couple of days mixing
-you’re in for a treat!

i should start doing these things in powerpoint!
organize meetings, with laserpointers, coffee, some hot chicks in suits.. blabla.
