Ladies and gents, we’re stoked to announce the very first European tour by Conduits! As off the 31st of October our five American friends will be touring our lovely continent and visiting Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, France and of course The Netherlands. Earlier this month the incredible self-titled debut record (stream it | buy it) has been released in all said countries (with the exception of Italy) and reviews so far have been awesome. You might know Josiah Wolf from his band Why? who also performed at our very own Vette Analoge Shit night back in 2009. As off the 20th of this month the band will be touring through Europe again (tour dates here), but they unfortunately will not be playing in our little old country. Luckily for you Josiah and his lovely wife Liz will! And even luckier for us Dutchies: this will be the only show in the BeNeLux.

The Black Atlantic starts a thirteen day tour around the Baltic Sea performing in Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. See the complete tour schedule below.

The guys have of The Black Atlantic have extensive experience on the road with their steady diet of +100 shows per year and multiple tours through Europe, the United States of America and most recently: China. During the upcoming tour though the band will make their first acquaintance with many of the countries bordering the Baltic Sea. The band hopes to expand their network and lay a solid foundation for many future collaborations in this new territory.

Last month The Black Atlantic embarked on a great adventure starting in Los Angeles and ending all the way in a Chinese town called Chengdu. In the US the band did plenty of showcases in L.A. and later that week at the worlds biggest showcase festival SXSW in Austin. Right after they flew to Beijing, China to start their first Chinese tour, lasting over two weeks.

Fortunately the band brought along a young filmmaker who documented the trip and is currently locked up in her editing room to make sure we can show the film at the upcoming concerts. As off next week the band will do a series of headliner shows in some great Dutch clubs. Fans at Vera Groningen and Tivoli Utrecht will be treated to an exclusive preview of the Chinese tour documentary.

Eurosonic Noorderslag is Europe’s biggest showcase / conference festival hosted every year in Groningen, Holland (really? yes, really). Since we’re Dutch and also happen to love showcases and talking crap to people we’re looking forward to this party very much.

This year, Utrechts annual LE GUESS WHO? festival will be taking place from november 26th untill november 29th. The festival is initiated by Tivoli and offers more the 50 must see acts including Patrick Watson,
the Very Best, Tragicly Hip, the Dodos and Great lake swimmers.

Clues was founded in the summer of 2007 by Alden Penner (one-half of Unicorns) and Brendan Reed (Endless Forever, Arcade Fire). In 2008, Clues recruited friends Ben Borden, Lisa Gamble, and Nick Scribner from the Montreal art and music scenes.
During live shows and on recordings, the band share and trade-off on their extensive collection of instruments and create a hopeful, urgent music that expands Montreal’s (already diverse) pop music lexicon, with references to post-punk and experimental music traditions. Clues’ concerts incorporate multiple drummers, a Commodore 64, and an OLPC.

Afterwards people will be dancing to tunes chosen by Utrechts most famous DJ WIEKES
