It’s been two years since releasing their successful debut album which brought them all over the world, from Holland to the US to China and back. During those two years these guys aged musically like a fine wine. Their new single The Flooded Road which was released today, is a beautiful nostalgic track that makes us want to slow dance with our high school sweethearts.  And we will do exactly such a thing tonight!


The full EP titled Darkling, I Listen will be available as a free stream as off December 5. The physical copies – CD / Vinyl / Playbutton –  will be released January 13th during Europes best showcase festival Eurosonic. Get with it!

Their latest series is called Off The Map, a show about seven doctors working in a remote South American village and doing all sorts of crazy stuff. With no less then 7.5 million people watching it’s safe to say this show is doing pretty, pretty good.

We’re stoked to share with you that the creators of Off The Map chose The Black Atlantic’s beautiful song ‘Reverence for Fallen Trees‘ to end episode seven with. See for yourself how things worked out!

She did and this is it!

Moon Life is a project by artist Alicia Framis and many collaborators. It proposes that 40 years after the first human being set foot on the moon, it is time for a more democratic, peaceful, artistic and cultural investigation of space. Moon Life focuses on the impact this would have on our daily lives and therefore wa.nts to examine the potentialities and challenges of life on the moon not only in the fields of architecture, design but also for social, political and public life. Prototypes and products developed by architects, designers, fashion designers and musicians are presented in the Moon Life Concept Store. In addition to this travelling popup shop a catalogue with background and sales information is published.

Moon & Sun released their second record earlier this month, named ‘The Wild Things‘. Reviews are coming in and are all more then positive. You can stream this puppy right on this site and of course a beauty hardcopy is available in our shop.

They participated in the so-called ’1 Hour Service’ in which the band gets a made-up songtitle by a listener of the show and has to write a completely new song in just one hour. In the first vid you’ll hear what the guys came up with. In the second you’ll hear good ol’ Fragile Meadow and a nice interview with the boys (in dutch). Enjoy!
