March-schotel-blog: tracks finished, artwork on the way

Dear brothers from another mother!

It’s been exactly a month ago since I updated this, hooray for punctuality, one of my best features.
And as you might have already noticed, punctuation is going to be my next. (God, those two lines took me ages to type.)
Anyway, it seems in this age of electronic diaries, (no, not diarrhea..although, that would make for a funny blog-entry: ‘March 2009, electronic liquid bowel movements; general insights on online digital-physical-diseases.’ ), err.. it seems in this age of electronic diaries (almost forgot what I wanted to say) that nobody thinks of important issues like capitalization, grammar, punctuation and spelling. (I listed those in alphabetical order, did you notice?)
Although it may seem I’m merely ranting about stuff here that doesn’t matter and avoiding the point where I have to tell you there is, in fact, no new ‘news’ to be shared, in reality, I am!
Anyway#2: I believe I’ve said this before, but the record is finished. It’s actually being mastered as we speak, turns out to be different for vinyl, with loud and low passages forcing the needle out of the groove, makes for a hell of a job I’d figure with this kind of out-of-bounds-tracks.
The tracklisting for our side will be as follows:

Rintintin - 1’52″
Getal-Gelal -1’23″
Stone Age – 2’45″
Property of Robbery – 1’32″
Cigarette (fade-out) – 2’16″

The split is going to be a 10″record, not a 7″ like I said before. That means we have around 10 minutes per side (SO THERE YOU GO, GOOGLE, A 10″ RECORD CAN CONTAIN ABOUT 10MINUTES OF MUSIC PER SIDE [MAN, i mean, i've googled that for about a million times, and nobody, NOBODY seems to know the answer] so i hope this page gets indexed). Shit, lost it again. 10inch means, that we had to cut off the outro of the last song ‘cigarette’, which was actually the whole point of the song. It’s like amputating a fucking limb to fit on the holiday-coach to the olympics (or paralympics for that matter). (shit, i was going to not swear on this one) (fuck, did it again)(…mom…)(i am sorry)(lost the punctuation-spree).
ANYWAY(#3) it sounds pretty awesome altogether! And this time, you won’t have to believe me on my word for it, because (drums..roll..trrrr..cymbal!) there is a new preview up on the myspace-player, and this time it’s actually a complete song.
There’s a bunch of crappy new pictures up too, and of course, some artwork for the vinyl is up on the profile too. (sparrows, eagles, metal-logo’s:-) )

About the release-show:
This is going to be held at dB’s Utrecht. The date is April 18th, entrance will be 7EUR. Here’s a link to the dB’s site.
Besides Lost Bear and us, there’s 3 more bands playing that night. Which is actually kind of a bummer I guess, but makes for more people around which is always good.
After the releaseshow, we’ll probably be playing a couple of shows (there’s already one almost-confirmed; 21th of may @Sub071 – Leiden )
