The lullaby singing ladies of My bubba & Mi are currently preparing for some monstrous touring this summer and fall. You can see the tip of the iceberg in our calander, but expect more shows soon.
As you might know the girls called out to their fans (yes you) to help them out getting a tour bus to make all that touring possible. They made a lovely little video explaining the whole dealio, which you can see here.
The cool thing about the project is that when you decide to support My bubba & Mi, they will reward you with cool stuff. We decided to give their project a closer look and pick our five favorite rewards. Let’s count these puppies down:

According to the girls, the top-secret recipe for THE most delicious pancakes ever. So delicious, they will change your live. So deliciously tasty, with honey on top, that they’ll give you the voice of an angel. And they won’t make you fat, ever!
The recipe is hand written by Bubba’s grandmother in her classic Icelandic handwriting. Hopefully you’ll get the English translation too, otherwise it’s money down the drain, but’s let’s give the girls (and granny) the benefit of the doubt.

Last month The Black Atlantic embarked on a great adventure starting in Los Angeles and ending all the way in a Chinese town called Chengdu. In the US the band did plenty of showcases in L.A. and later that week at the worlds biggest showcase festival SXSW in Austin. Right after they flew to Beijing, China to start their first Chinese tour, lasting over two weeks.
Fortunately the band brought along a young filmmaker who documented the trip and is currently locked up in her editing room to make sure we can show the film at the upcoming concerts. As off next week the band will do a series of headliner shows in some great Dutch clubs. Fans at Vera Groningen and Tivoli Utrecht will be treated to an exclusive preview of the Chinese tour documentary.

JUE Festival. An independent urban arts and music festival in both Shanghai and Beijing that shows us a collection of alternative, creative and progressive arts and music, presented by the mighty folks of Split Works. Sounds pretty snazzy, doesn’t it?
Well, damn straight it does and that’s why we’re pleased to announce that The Black Atlantic will perform at this years Jue Fest.
For the first time The Black Atlantic is flying into a country where even Geert is considered a tall man. Google Maps told us they’re traveling a solid 5807 km. From Beijing to Shanghai to Chengdu, with a few stops in between and after. Starting in Beijing where they play at this years JUE Festival, to Wuhan and Nanjing. After Nanjing, The Black Atlantic is reaching the extremely high populated city Shanghai from where they take the plane to Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chongqing and Chengdu.
We’ve decided to capture this very special ten-days-tour as a video-diary. If you curious to see how China treated the boys you should attend one of The Black Atlantic shows in The Netherlands. At Vera in Groningen and Tivoli de Helling in Utrecht, we’ll be serving you the best Chinese food while you’re watching this tour-diary (and of course they will be playing some tunes for you as well).

Umpf! We admit, that’s a terrible play of words. Fact is though, that our favorite girls My bubba & Mi are looking for an extra member for upcoming tours. As always the ladies are keeping it short and mysterious: sweet, musical & adventurous is what they are looking for. And of course, as any musician, you can’t be short on time.
